Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-04-30

This privacy policy explains how the Wizard mobile app and website ("the service") handles your data. The service is published by Malik Jirasek and Jan Schumann. If you have any questions, contact support@play-wizard.de.

1. What we collect

The service only stores or transmits the following data, and only when you actively use the corresponding feature:

  • Player display names that you type into the app when starting a game.
  • Game results – round predictions, tricks won, scores, final placements.
  • Group code, if you choose to upload a finished game to a private leaderboard.
  • Device language preference, used locally to pick the UI language.

We do not collect: contact lists, photos, messages, location, microphone, advertising IDs, persistent device identifiers, crash reports, or analytics events.

2. Where your data lives

  • On your device. Saved games and the paused-game file are stored only in the app's private files directory and never leave your device unless you upload them.
  • On this server (play-wizard.de). Only when you selected a group and finish a game, the player names and scores are sent over HTTPS and stored so the group leaderboard can display them.

3. Third parties

The app does not embed any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. We do not sell or share your data with third parties.

4. Children

The service is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from children. Player names are typed by users and may be anything; we recommend not entering real surnames or other identifying information for minors.

5. Your choices

  • You can use the app entirely offline and never transmit any data.
  • You can delete saved games at any time from the in-app saved-games list.
  • To delete uploaded leaderboard entries or remove a group, email support@play-wizard.de with the relevant group code(s) and player name(s).

6. Security

Data sent to play-wizard.de is transmitted over HTTPS. Locally saved game files are not encrypted at rest; if your device is shared or compromised, those files can be read by anyone with access to the device.

7. Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for substantial changes, note it in the next app release.
